… of my 2o16 autocross campaign:
To go racing without breaking the bank and to learn, hands-on, about the process of turning an aging street car into a competitive racing vehicle.
I believe there is no better way to learn than to take the leap, focus, and not let the fear of failure hold you back. Autocross is a low commitment way to get your hands dirty and make the most of what you’ve got. The rules are clear and seat time and resources are limited, therefore it’s the perfect breeding ground for learning and innovative thinking.
… of this blog:
To collect and share my experiences over the course of my first autocross campaign.
This blog is as much for me as it is for anyone who may find it. For me it’s a way to consolidate what I learn and reflect on what I’ve done. I hope that for you this can become a resource for any future racer to get started doing what they love with some confidence. It is my goal to present a first-hand account of what it takes to compete seriously with the SCCA on a budget that won’t make you significant other shudder and scold.
